Abaya Princess

What are you going to wear for Eid? If you're undecided, here are a few ideas from Arabian Nites. The creator of Arabian Nights,Yasmin Safri says: "I’d like to fuse Asian and western styles and create short abaya’s for women who want to wear them over jeans and take their first steps into the Islamic way of dressing. I don’t want to alienate anyone.". Her designs are simple, classy and modern. Here are my favourites:

Simple and classy £85

The gold and turquoise stones make this peice exquisite.£125

I just love this brocade jacket. You can wear it over any color abaya. For the sweet price of £85

Purple with a touch of elegance. Can be worn casually, or for the Evening £45

The simplicity of Green-£65

Casual and chic-£85 for the jacket.

Maternity abaya. I think you can rock this even if you're not pregnant- £85 jacket-£50 abaya

Jacket £50 Abaya £45

those abbayas are so pretty especially the first one. I haven't celebrated Eid for years. I always have classes and have to teach and even though I can get a sub for teaching, usually for my own classes I end up missing a lot and i feel guilty so i just go..

Diali,
I like the Green too. I don't know if they ship in the US. On their website it just says to email them with the id of the abaya you want and they will go from there. I'm hoping they would ship in the US though

Amina,
It was hard for me to take off on Eid when I was still in college as well. Now, that I'm just working, it's easier,I just take the day off. I will check that store next time that I stop in Dakar :)

Mrs.Unique,
Yeh they are classy

Muslimahh,
Do you have stores close to you?

We have 2 stores that sell them. Nothing too fancy and they're not great quality but they work. I was given a flyer for another one too. I haven't been there yet but I'm thinking a woman sells them out of her house. I need to call tonight and see inshallah.

I like that green jacket but it's a bit pricy. 85 in UK? I won't want to know how much that is in US!

Hi :)!

I saw this post some days ago.I like all of the abayas you showed here, especially the pre-last one.I'd wear that one to some important event. However,I must say that I don't really fancy abayas,as I think they really are very Arabic in style and somehow I don't think I'd feel comfortable wearing one in Slovenia. But,for example I would wear one in combination with jeans as the creator mentioned.Still,I like them all!
