Boxes everywhere

We are moving to our new place on Saturday and I spent the past few days trying to get my things together, packing what I need, getting rid of what I don't need. Moving is one of my least favorite things to do. I hate the whole ordeal, packing, cleaning, unpacking, re-arranging,... you name it, I hate it.Just thinking about it gives me a headache! I try to throw away most of the stuff that I've not used for months. Any item of clothing that's been in my closet for 9 months without being worn is seriously not worth packing. If I haven't missed it in the months it's been there, I'm not going to miss it in the new place.

I have boxes scattered all over the floor, huge garbage bags full of things I’m going to throw out, open suitcases, and lots and lots of paper, mail, magazines,.... (it seems like whenever you move you find things and trash in places you never thought possible). It's funny how you don't realize how much crap you own until you decide to move.

I wish someone would pack everything for me, but the few times I had that done, I ended up not knowing where anything was, which resulted in having to unpack every kitchen box to find ONE pan, only to realize that it somehow ended up in the 'dining room' box.

I also hate the process of living in boxes for the week prior and post to leaving, I hate the gloomy feeling of walking around my room trying not to trip on boxes and looking for my nail cutter.

I wish there were moving packages that offered a week long trip to a nice island. While you are on vacation, the movers come in and pack up your whole life, move it into the new place, unpack all the boxes and put everything where it's supposed to be and then when you get back you just head to the new house like nothing happened. A girl can dream, right?

I doubt I will be doing any serious blogging for the next week or so as I will be busy packing, unpacking and trying not to go on labor. I also need to contact Verizon to set up my cable & internet at the new place and don't know when I will get to it.

So, the bottom line is:

Pregnant women should never be put in charge ofanything packing.

I have too much junk stuff.

I will be too lazy busy to blog.

I will not miss you.

This sucks is exciting.

The End

Mina the brit,
Im surviving :) Come and help me pack please. Yes, pregnant women shouldn't do anything from month 1 to month 24. And I did not make a mess :(

I def agree, pregnant women shouldn't be put in charge of packing. Especially one who ALREADY hates packing. I can soooo relate cos I hate the entire ordeal myself. Bonne chance avec tout. You shall prevail!!!

Moving sucks big time. I wasn't even pregnant when I moved so I have no idea how your able to do it. Right now Im just dreading having to do the baby's room which is gonna require moving things from one room to another room. Im so tempted to just buy a bassinet for the time being a worry about putting the babys room together later lol. Insha'Allah may Allah make it easy for you. And don't work too hard, we don't want you go into labor just yet.

Aaah I can't believe you're packing when you're pregnant! MasAllah! I would be so forgetful and just mess everything up, lol. InshAllah you'll get everything done very easily and nicely. Your scarves in the closet are GORGEOUS by the way!

Salaams Dear:

I hate moving, too. When we bought our house, my husband put his foot down on any future moving. He said our next move will be to the grave, lol.

Hopefully we won't have to move anywhere for a lonnnnng time. I've spent my entire adult life moving from one apartment to another!

Guess what? I'm expecting TWINS!!! But I don't have to pack ~ I just have to finish de-cluttering this insanely over stuffed house-with-no-closets...
