Other things & Ramadan Mubarak

I've been MIA for a few days now due to the move and I also didn't have my new internet connection set up. The move was a hassle as our movers decided not to show up and we had to find a new moving company on the day we were supposed to move. We were lucky to find a company at 5h30 pm on Saturday and were out and about till midnight. I'm still not done unpacking but decided to do it slowly as I am still recuperating from all the stress and fatigue. There are days when I just lay down on the couch without any motivation to do anything, my body just refuses to move and I lack the energy needed to do anything. Other days are better, and I am able to unpack 2 or 3 boxes and put stuff away.

Alhamdulilah, I am 32 weeks pregnant now and only have 8 weeks to go inshaAllah. At my checkup yesterday, the doctor told me that the baby was measuring 33 weeks which is one week ahead. I asked her if that meant, I'd have the baby earlier than my due date and she said not necessarily, that it only meant that the baby is bigger than average...*sight* She's also almost 4 pounds now, the funny thing is I don't feel that my stomach is any bigger, I actually think that I'm on the lower side when it comes to pregnant bellies. Every pregnant woman that I've seen has a bigger stomach than I do, I thought my baby was minuscule or something. I guess I was wrong.

Ramadan Mubarak to everyone. May Allah grant you the best this month has to offer. May He accept your supplications and purify your hearts. I've decided to fast even though a lot of people are against pregnant women fasting. I thought about the pros and cons and decided to go for it and so far, it's not been any different from pre-pregnancy fasting. As a quick reminder, don't forget to make dua at the time of Iftar as:

Once Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) asked Almighty Allah (SWT): O Allah! You have granted me the honor and privilege of talking to you directly, Have you given this privilege to any other person? Almighty Allah (SWT) replied, O Musa during the last period I am going to send an Ummah (Community or Nation), who will be the Ummah of Muhammad (SAW) with dry lips, parched tongues, emaciated body with eyes sunken deep into their sockets, with livers dry and stomachs suffering the pangs of hunger - will call out to me (in dua) they will be much much closer to me than you O Musa ! While you speak to me there are 70,000 veils between you and me but at the time of Iftaar there will not be a single veil between me and the fasting Ummah of Muhammad (SAW). O Musa I have taken upon myself the responsibility that at the time of iftaar I will never refuse the dua of a fasting person!

Ramadan Kareem to you and your family. Alhamdulillah you're all moved in. I know exactly how you feel when you just wanna lay on the couch and do nothing. I have plenty of days like that where all I can do is stay still cuz my body refuses to move. I guess it's normal at this stage.
It's kinda funny because at my 32 week appointment, the doctor said that the baby was measuring 33 weeks and right now he is already a bit over 5 lbs. So who knows, maybe they just have a growth spurt at that time.

Assalamu alaikum Hijabee :),

I'm very glad to hear that your pregnancy is going on well.Oh,you have a big girl there =)!
I hope your Ramadan is peaceful and that it's not to hard to fast.
Have you already unpacked everything?I've heard that moving is one of the major stresses in our lives.
Allah is so great! It's magic that He grants a fasting person there will be no veils between Him and this person if he makes dua during the time of iftaar. It's incredible how humble Allah can be!Thank you for this.It makes my heart serene.
Kiss,kiss my dear :)!

Assalam-alaikam Sister,
good to hear that the little one is doing well, please don't overdo it with the moving. May Allah SWT reward you for fasting at this time, make it easy for you and accept your every dua because of it, may your child also benefit and become pious because if it insh'Allah.

Oh help! all the new mama's are making me broody...may Allah (SWT) make your delivery easy and quick insh'Allah.
I never got very big either with my youngest and he was a 9.2lb baby (4.2 kg), poor thing he must have been packed in tight!

Umm Salihah,
Waleikum Salam sister. Ameen to your duas. I'm trying to take it slow with the move :) MashaAllah, you had a big baby. It's funny that you told me that coz one of my friends was just telling me yesterday how women with a small belly end up having the biggest babies, lol.

Subahanallah, that was amazing. You can hear things a thousand times over again and read it once and it's like a noor comes down into your heart forever changing the way you look at something. This du'aa did it for me. Best with Ramadan AND moving AND not moving (being pregnant) inshallah.

Peace, Perplxintexan
